I’ve had a passion for clay since I was a young boy. I would often hang out in my Grandfather’s art studio and play with the oil based clay that was lying around. In high school, I took all of the ceramics classes available and eventually went to Tyler School Of Art to study ceramics full time. At Tyler, I volunteered as a teaching assistant and learned to fire and troubleshoot kilns. Upon graduating, I got a job working with L&L Kiln Mfg as their service and repair technician. I was thrilled to be working with the best electric kilns on the market! They trained me in kiln construction, diagnosis, and repair. In 2010, I decided to start my own kiln service and sales business, and with that decision “The Kiln Guy” was born!
