Refund policy
KILN SALE REFUND/RETURN POLICY:
There are NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ON KILNS. ALL KILN SALES ARE FINAL.
Each kiln is configured and built to order, with specific voltage and phase specifications. For this reason all kilns are Non-Returnable and are Non-Refundable.
We try hard to make selecting a kiln easy by providing as much information as possible, but we ask that you exercise caution and due diligence when purchasing a kiln. Please check your voltage, phase, gauge wire size and fuse or breaker size carefully before you order.
Please contact us prior to your purchase to make sure all of your questions are answered.
Purchase Orders:
The Kiln Guy LLC accepts school purchase orders. All PO’s can be emailed to sales@thekilnguy.com Payment is due within 30 days of delivery (NET 30)
PARTS REFUND & RETUN POLICY:
We have a 30-day return policy for most parts, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. There is a 20% Non-Refundable re-stocking fee for all returned parts. Please see “Exceptions/non-returnable items” below for details:
If You Receive The Wrong Part Because Of Our Mistake:
• email sales@thekilnguy.com and tell us what happened.
• We will work with you to determine if it is the wrong part for your kiln and what the correct part should be.
• If it is the wrong part then we will immediately send you the correct part.
• We will then issue a call tag for the return. (A call tag is a request for one of our carriers -UPS to pick up the package).
• All shipping expenses will be paid for by The Kiln Guy LLC
If You Ordered The Wrong Part By Your Mistake:
email sales@thekilnguy.com and let us know what happened.
• We will put in an order for the correct part and bill you for the new order.
• When L&L Kiln Mfg Inc. gets the old part back we will credit you less a restocking charge.
• Restocking charges vary by type of part. In general, the restocking charge is 20% although in some cases it can be as high as 50%.
• Note that some parts are not returnable. That is mentioned per part on the individual part page.
• Acceptance of returned items is contingent upon the Goods being packaged and crated to L&L’s sole satisfaction and any restocking charge will include all costs to refurbish damaged Goods.
• There is a 30-day limit on all returns.
• All shipping expenses are paid for by the customer.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues:
Once the carrier arrives with your Kiln/Furniture Kit/Vent System, you will need to carefully inspect the freight box for any damages. Check the outside of the packaging for any visible damage: Cardboard is torn, crushed, or missing, brick chunks are seen laying on the pallet or around bottom of the kiln, top looks crushed or mashed in and/or things are poking out of the cardboard box. If visible damage is seen, you will need to unbox your kiln/furniture kit/vent-system to check for concealed damage, while the delivery driver waits . Carriers will not pay claims on concealed damage. If you suspect concealed damage to the package- by law, It is the responsibility of you (the receiver) to fully inspect the freight inside and out before signing off on the delivery.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, these items include: All Kilns, some parts as specified.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your parts return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded less restocking fees (if applicable) on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
